The world's best male professional golfers are back for the second major of 2023.
Jon Rahm claimed the Masters in April to capture the second major of his career so it will come as absolutely no surprise to you that the Spaniard is the bookies' favourite to capture the US PGA.
Standing in his way, though, are the likes of Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler. You also can't rule out LIV's main man Dustin Johnson and major whisperer Brooks Koepka either,

As many as 18 players were listed in the field by the PGA of America.
That was reduced to 17 after Martin Kaymer, who won the 2010 PGA Championship, withdrew from the tournament. He explained why here.

Prize money:
The prize money is yet to be announced by the PGA of America.
At the 2022 PGA Championship at Southern Hills the total prize purse of $15m, with the aforementioned Thomas scooping $2.7m.
That was up $3m from the previous year, so expect the winner of the 2023 major to be receiving a bunch more cash!
Is Tiger Woods playing?
No, Tiger Woods is not playing. He underwent more surgery earlier in the year, which ruled him out of professional golf for the forseeable future.
