LIV Golf fan account SLAMS PGA Championship: "Not major championship worthy!"

A popular LIV Golf fan account has slammed this week's PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club.

A LIV Golf fan account is not happy with the PGA Championship this week, slamming the tournament in a tweet following Friday's second round.

There were 18 LIV Golf players originally listed in the field this week at Oak Hill Country Club, however that number dropped to 16 after Martin Kaymer and Paul Casey withdrew.

After the 36-hole cut, 11 LIV Golf players made the weekend in Rochester, New York.

Bryson DeChambeau is the league's low scorer so far this week, in a tie for fourth at 3-under par.

He's two strokes back of the leaders, the PGA Tour's Scottie Scheffler, Corey Conners, and Viktor Hovland.

And while the large bulk of the field this week is made up of PGA Tour players, there's also a portion that are not LIV or PGA Tour stars.

The tournament is run by the PGA of America, and what sets it apart is the inclusion of many PGA professionals who qualify.

One of these pros, Michael Block, has been playing top-tier golf this week and is tied for 10th at even par after two rounds.

However, one LIV Golf fan account seems to have taken issue with the number of LIV Golf players compared to PGA professionals in the field this week:

They wrote:

"20 PGA Club Professionals "qualified" for the PGA Championship compared to just 16 LIV Golfers.
"This is a fun tournament, but the caliber of the field is not Major Championship worthy without more LIV players included."

Here's the original tweet:

However, lower in the thread, the account clarified that they don't think there needs to be less PGA professionals, but more LIV Golf members.

As it currently stands, LIV Golf tournaments do not award Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points, making it increasingly difficult for its players to qualify for major championships as they slip out of the top spots.

Many are eligible under other conditions like top results in the past or major wins, but those exemptions will eventually time out.

LIV have applied to receive OWGR points, however their application is still under review.
