Phil Mickelson is one of the richest golfers of all time.

The true amount of money Mickelson has in his bank account is unknown, but we can have a good go at working out just how much cash he has nestled away. 

Before Mickelson, 54, made the switch to join LIV Golf, he won 45 times on the PGA Tour, including six major championships.

Mickelson achieved $96,685,635 in official PGA Tour earnings, which puts him third on the all-time list behind Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.

Lefty has never managed to complete the career grand slam, something only Woods and McIlroy have achieved since Jack Nicklaus completed it 59 years ago, but he has come incredibly close having finished unner-up at the US Open six times.

Mickelson’s prime years came way before the PGA Tour's PIP was introduced.

The PIP existed between 2021-2024 and was seen as a way to try and prevent golfers from joining the breakaway LIV Golf League.

The Tour claimed it was a way to financially reward players who generated the most positive interest in the North American circuit.

But in 2021, the year Mickelson became the oldest player to win a major championship by winning the PGA Championship aged 50, he won $6m in PIP bonuses.

Then he left for LIV Golf.

Mickelson has three companies called Mickelson Golf Design, Mickelson Golf Properties, and Mickelson Private Golf.
