Drew Murphy

Drew first joined the GolfMagic team in February 2024 on a week's placement while studying for his NCTJ diploma at News Associates.

After achieving a gold standard NCTJ diploma in Sports Journalism, Drew returned to Golf Magic in March 2025.

A self-described casual golfer, Drew began playing golf at an early age but it took a backseat, and now only plays golf in the summer - preferring to watch YouTube golf over the winter than play it.

Drew spent a year studying abroad at the University of Arizona in Tucson and regrets not trying out the courses over there.

Outside of golf, Drew loves to watch Crystal Palace finish 12th every season and is a fan of F1 and MotoGP.

His favourite golfer is Tommy Fleetwood, and he firmly believes (and hopes) that Fleetwood will win a major championship sooner rather than later.
