Jason Day refuses to reveal Tiger Woods text, drops revelation before US PGA
Jason Day has not practiced at Oak Hill and won't before he tees it up at the PGA Championship.
Jason Day has revealed he won't be playing a practice round or see the course at all before the 2023 PGA Championship.
Day returned to the winner's circle for the first time in more than five years when he captured the AT&T Byron Nelson on the PGA Tour.
All victories are emotional but it was particularly poignant for the 35-year-old Australian as he won on mother's day.
In 2022 Day's mother Dening sadly passed away. He was nearly in tears when his sensational win was official.
Day, who has had to re-work his swing owing to a persistent back injury, later revealed he was close to quitting the game altogether.
Speaking to the media at Oak Hill, Day confirmed that he just wanted to be in the best mindset possible before teeing it up on Thursday.
He will be playing alongside Keegan Bradley and Bryson DeChambeau in the 9.06am group.

Day recently caught the headlines for revealing how he helped Tiger Woods overcome the chipping yips.
The Aussie was asked if Woods sent him a congratulatory text message after his 13th PGA Tour win.
Day said:
Another man we will be keeping a close eye on is Jordan Spieth.
Spieth withdrew from the aforementioned Byron Nelson at TPC Craig Ranch and arrived in Rochester on Monday sporting a heavily bandaged wrist in his practice round.
