Jim Nantz makes ANOTHER dig at LIV Golf during PGA Championship
Jim Nantz took another dig at LIV Golf during the PGA Championship broadcast Thursday.
It does not sound like Jim Nantz is a very big fan of LIV Golf, as the commentator appeared to make a dig directed towards the league during the first round of the PGA Championship Thursday.
It was the second meeting of LIV Golf and PGA Tour players in 2023, after The Masters in early April.
Then, the PGA Tour's Jon Rahm left victorious after defeating LIV Golf's Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickelson by four strokes.
Rahm didn't have the same luck Thursday at Oak Hill Country Club, shooting a 6-over par 76. He was tied for 117th when play was suspended due to darkness.
Eric Cole, 34, was the leader at 5-under par through 14 holes before play stopped. LIV Golf's Bryson DeChambeau was one-stroke back at 4-under par after shooting 66.
DeChambeau, who won the 2020 U.S. Open at Winged Foot, a course being compared to Oak Hill this week, made his own broadcast headlines Thursday as an errant shot appeared to hit a pro teeing off on another hole.
But elsewhere on the course, Nantz was taking his own shots, these ones directed towards LIV Golf and Dustin Johnson, while Johnson was teeing off with Tyrrell Hatton and Xander Schauffele.
This past Sunday, the 38-year-old claimed his second LIV Golf title after winning the event in Tulsa in a three-man playoff that included Cameron Smith.
However, right before the playoff started, many CW affiliates broadcasting the tournament cut away from coverage.
And during Thursday's broadcast of the PGA Championship, Nantz did not let LIV's mistake go unnoticed.
He said:
"Not sure if you had a chance to see it, but he was the winner last week in Tulsa," while Johnson was about to tee off.

And this isn't the first time Nantz has made what appears to be a shot at the LIV Golf series.
During The Masters last month, Nantz referred to the crosswalk as "The CW" while Koepka was on screen walking across it.
