Tournament organisers epicly troll PGA Tour pro Joel Dahmen before US Open
PGA Tour pro Joel Dahmen was at the receiving end of this prank by tournament organisers before the 2023 US Open at Los Angeles Country Club.
It's likely at this point you will have heard of PGA Tour pro Joel Dahmen.
Alongside his charismatic caddie Geno Bonnalie, the 35-year-old became the unlikely star of the Netflix show Full Swing owing to his self-deprecating nature and what appeared to be a unique approach to the game.
"Someone's gotta be the 70th best player in the world," Dahmen said. Personal tragedy also makes him one of the easiest players to root for as well.

He's one of 156 players in the field for this week's US Open at Los Angeles Country Club.
Dahmen will want to build upon his impressive performance at last year's major. He actually led the field after 36-holes at The Country Club in Brookline in 2022 but ultimately settled for a T-0 finish.
The Netflix cameras were rolling during that period and caught an hilarious moment when he discovered his car had gone missing.
He found it in the end (the valet had put it in the wrong lot).
But the USGA decided to reference it this year. "Tough parking this year," Dahmen wrote on his Instagram stories alongside this picture.

That wasn't the only bit of fun tournament organisers had before the third major of 2023.
Canadian Adam Hadwin found a safety vest and hard hat inside his locker.
That was after he was absolutely annihilated by a security guard as he ran onto the green at Oakdale Golf & Country Club as he celebrated Nick Taylor's 72ft eagle bomb at the recent Canadian Open.
The viral moment sent the Golf Twitter™ into an absolute meltdown.
Ready for a great week @usopengolf. Thanks to the @USGA for keeping me safe! pic.twitter.com/qbUbOkvWvK

As for Dahmen, it doesn't appear that he's letting his new-found fame get to his head. He's still the same old Dahmen.
He's struggling a little bit on the PGA Tour this year, so the aforementioned Bonnalie recruited Hall of Fame wrestler Ric Flair to give him a motivational pep talk.
