Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods not among early committals to PNC Championship
Tiger Woods and his teenage son Charlie Woods have not been listed for the PNC Championship after six past champions were among the early committals.
Tiger Woods and his teenage son Charlie Woods have not been listed for the field at the PNC Championship as a number of past champions have confirmed their entry to the PGA Tour's annual parent-child event.
On 30 October, six past champions confirmed they will be playing at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club over 14-17 December.
Vijah Singh, John Daly, Justin Thomas, David Duval, Stewart Cink and Bernhard Langer are among the early committals.
Woods was not listed but it would not be unreasonable to suggest the 47-year-old could make his return to golf at the hit-and-giggle for the first time since his latest surgery after he hobbled out of the 47th Masters.
The golfer appears to be edging closer to another improbable comeback after he was filmed clipping a few gentle wedges at Pebble Beach's The Hay a few weeks ago.
He has reportedly started making full swings now, according to @TWLegion.
Woods has also named the full field for the forthcoming Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas. He's also left one spot open in the field, prompting speculation he could be the final player in his invite-only PGA Tour event.
If Woods and Charlie do play, it would be their fourth appearance. They have never won the tournament, but came close in 2021. They finished second to the aforementioned Daly and his son.
