Multiple major champion Tiger Woods has announced the field for the forthcoming PGA Tour event he hosts every year in the Bahamas.
Tiger Woods has announced the field for the annual event he hosts on the PGA Tour in the Bahamas.
Woods confirmed the field for the Hero World Challenge in Albany on 16 October.
The big news is 15-time major champion Woods, 47, has left one spot in the field TBC for the invite-only event held from 30 November to 3 December.
It has prompted speculation we could see Woods back in action approximately nine months after going under the knife for fusion surgery on his right ankle.
Woods tends to arrive at the event on his $20m private yacht. The vessel is named Privacy.
The golfer hobbled out of the 47th Masters looking in absolute agony and the golf world feared that was the end of his illustrious career.
In recent weeks he has been spotted hitting golf balls again alongside his son Charlie Woods.
Elsewhere, Will Zalatoris is scheduled to make his return from a back injury. Like Woods, Zalatoris has not played since the Masters.
Rory McIlroy is not in the field for the Hero World Challenge.
