Tiger Woods has been labelled as 'disrespectful' by St Andrews locals following the announcement of his plans to open a new sports bar in the town.
Tiger Woods has announced plans to open a new sports bar in St Andrews with his business partner, singer/actor Justin Timberlake, but the news hasn't gone down well with local residents.
Plans presented to the Fife Council would see the new T Squared Social golf-themed sports bar replace the 1930s New Picture House Cinema on North Street, a stone's throw from the 1st tee at the Old Course.
The cinema is a building of cultural significance to the town, and the thought of it being replaced by a sports bar has seemingly hit a nerve with some locals.
Speaking to The Courier, St Andrews community council member Neil Dobson said:

T Squared Social St Andrews is set to be Woods and Timberlake's second bar under the same name after the pair launched the first T Squared Social in Manhattan last month.
St Andrews holds a special place in Woods' heart, having won two Open Championships at The Old Course in 2000 and 2005.
