PGA Tour confirms new partnership with Paige Spiranac, Bob Does Sports and others
The PGA Tour has announced a new 'Creator Council', and Paige Spiranac and Bob Does Sports are just two creators that have been chosen to help out.
The PGA Tour has today partnered with a number of the game's biggest content creators to form a new Creator Council heading into the 2025 season.
Under the new 'Creator Council', the PGA Tour hopes to be able to work with its creators to discuss fan engagement strategy and improve future content opportunities moving forwards.
The PGA Tour's new Creator Council will consist of influencer and content heavyweights such as Paige Spiranac, Bob Does Sports, Bryan Bros Golf, Erik Anders Lang, No Laying Up, Foreplay, Roger Steele and Tisha Alyn.
"The Council will be comprised of up to 10 popular content creators/brands who will meet regularly with media, marketing and communications team members at the PGA Tour to develop shared strategies for content development and fan engagement," a statement reads from the PGA Tour.
The update comes just several months after the PGA Tour's inaugural Creator Classic
The 2024 Creator Classic took place at East Lake - home of the Tour Championship - and it saw 16 YouTube and social media personalities such as the Bryan Bros, Paige Spiranac, Peter Finch, and members of Good Good Golf take part.
Luke Kwon was crowned champion.
The Creator Council is expected to discuss potential future iterations of the Creator Classic, along with several other broad initiatives.
The PGA Tour has released the following discussion topics that it expects the Creator Council to address in 2025:
- Fan engagement strategies
- Collaborative content opportunities
- PGA TOUR media regulations
- PGA TOUR event/broadcast enhancements
- Creator Classic evolution
The PGA Tour's statement adds: "Along with the regular meetings, the creators will have increased access to the PGA Tour platform and network to create more compelling content that can serve as both stand-alone content and complementary coverage of weekly PGA Tour events."
