'Put me in' Paige Spiranac says she's very much ready after golf fan demand
Paige Spiranac throws her hat into the ring to replace LIV Golf's Bubba Watson as the next on-course announcer at The Match.
Golf fans have urged Paige Spiranac to become the next on-course announcer at The Match, and the golf social media sensation admits she's ready for it.
Fans were tweeting Spiranac during the latest edition of The Match: Superstars where LIV Golf star and two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson called the action from the fairways.
Watson, 45, was seen working alongside host Ernie Johnson and another on-course reporter in Kathryn Tappen.
Former Masters champion Trevor Immelman also called the action from the booth.
The Match: Superstars took place at Breakers West Country Club in West Palm Beach from 21-22 November.
Eight celebrities were involved in the latest edition of The Match, comprising Charles Barkley, Bill Murray, Mark Wahlberg, Wayne Gretzky, Michael Phelps, Nate Bargatze, Ken Griffey Jr and Blake Griffin.
Ice hockey legend Gretzky, father of Dustin Johnson's wife Paulina Gretzky, ended up defeating swimming sensation Phelps 2up in the 9-hole final.
It marked the 10th edition of The Match, which has now raised more than $40m for charity in total since the series first began in 2018.
The action was broadcast on TNT Sports and also available to stream on HBO Max.

In one dramatic moment during the latest Match, a golf cart operator crashed into a fence while Murray and Gretzky were being interviewed.
Thankfully nobody was hurt, but the fence on the other hand was left severely dented.
During The Match: Superstars, a number of fans tweeted Spiranac, 31, to say she should have been on-course announcer instead of either Watson or Tappen.
Spiranac was very much keen for it, too.
"Put me in coach I’m ready lol," tweeted Spiranac in response to one fan's comment.
"Send Bubba back to LIV... I’d much rather see you out there," said another fan.
Some golf fans even consider more eyeballs would be drawn to The Match if Spiranac was one of the participants.
"Call it? S***, Paige should be playing in it... I would actually watch it then," wrote one.
Given Spiranac's interest to call some of the action - or maybe even play too - then who knows, perhaps those at The Match will soon decide to put Paige in for the next edition.
Spiranac this month declared she's playing to a +3.9 handicap after enjoying her best year.
Paige also recently competed in the PGA Tour's Creator Classic where she finished in the middle of the pack at East Lake.
A couple of weeks ago Spiranac launched her 2025 wall calendar, before urging her fans to 'come and pin me up against the wall'.

The very first Match saw Phil Mickelson defeat Tiger Woods on the 22nd hole.
That took place at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas on 23 November 2018.
Mickelson took home the first prize of $9m.
The latest edition of The Match took place just under a month before LIV Golf's Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka clash against PGA Tour duo Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy at The Showdown at Shadow Creek.
TNT Sports will also be covering that one.
Being replaced as an on-course announcer at The Match is probably the last thing on Watson's mind right now.
Watson endured a tough season on LIV Golf.
So much so the RangeGoats GC captain was relegated from the circuit.
The left-hander is now in deep discussions with those above at LIV Golf as to whether he will return for a fourth straight season in 2025.
It is understood Watson wants to continue playing on the LIV Golf League.
An official decision will be made soon.
