England's Justin Rose leads the 2025 Masters after 36 holes.
Rose carded a 1-under 71 on Friday to reach the summit on 8-under par.
He leads 2024 U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau by one stroke.
Rory McIlroy looked as though his bid to achieve the career grand slam was done and dusted for another year.
But the Ulsterman roared back into contention on day two with a 6-under 66.
Scottie Scheffler, the reigning champion, battled his way to an entertaining 71.
Tyrrell Hatton, Jason Day, Corey Conners, Shane Lowry and Viktor Hovland are also inside the top 10.

Justin Rose is looking super comfortable right now and he ticks off another par at the 7th after finding the heart of the green with his second.
He opts for a 3-wood at the 8th and finds the short stuff once again...
McIlroy -1, Aberg -5, Bhatia -1 (3)
McIlroy was cautious with his approach at the 3rd hole but he manages to safely tap in for his par after facing a rapid downhill put.
Aberg is now comfortably in second place after sticking his approach close.
Looks like the Swede will go head-to-head with Scottie Scheffler over the weekend at The Masters once again...
Bryson DeChambeau is already nipping at the heels of Justin Rose.
The American comfortably reaches the par-5 2nd in two strokes and two-putts for a birdie four.
He moves to 4-under par.
Shane has made a steady par on the first hole to commence his second round at The Masters.
After a double bogey on the 1st hole, Matt McCarty has brought his score back to -1, and his position to T14, after carding putting circles on his card at the 6th, 7th and 8th.
Two birdies in his first four holes for Rasmus put him within touching distance of the top 10.
A birdie on the par 5 2nd to move to -1 and T14 on the leaderboard.

After an outrageous cutting driver off the deck, in pure Bubba style, he drains the 20ft putt for a three on the par-5 9th.
Rose bogeys the 5th hole after failing to get up and down from off the green. He moves back to -7.
Two birdies in the first eight holes brings Jose Maria Olazabal closer to the cut line at +3.
Sungjae has birdied the first two holes of his second round moving him to 2 under par and into T5.
Despite missing the fairway left Rory McIlroy pars the first hole of his second round.
His partners Ludvig Aberg and Akshay Bhatia also par out.
