TGL latest results: scores from Week 3 as Atlanta Drive GC defeat New York GC

Atlanta Drive GC got their TGL campaign off to a flying start with a comfortable 4-0 victory over New York GC on Tuesday night. 

The result marked the lowest scoreline of the brand new TGL season so far but also the first shut out too. 

There were also no hammers (doubles a point on a hole) played for the first time in a TGL match. 

The victorious Atlanta Drive GC comprised of Justin Thomas, Billy Horschel and Patrick Cantlay.

Lucas Glover is also on Atlanta Drive GC but he was benched for their first match. 

The loss for New York GC (Rickie Fowler, Matt Fitzpatrick and Cameron Young) marked their second straight defeat of the season.

Xander Schauffele is also a New York GC member but he is currently out of competitive action on "medical advice". 

TGL Week 3 Result: Atlanta Drive GC 4 - 0 New York GC

Atlanta Drive GC won two holes on the opening nine triples to move into an early 2-0 lead. 

Singles wins on the 10th and 11th from Thomas and Horschel then saw Atlanta Drive surge into a 4-0 lead. 

Young looked like he was going to put the first point on the board for New York on the 13th but Thomas had other ideas when holing a 25-footer to tie the hole.

The teams tied the last two holes as Atlanta Drive GC ran out comfortable 4-0 victors on their opening night. 

Next week sees arguably the tie everyone has been waiting for on TGL as Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links GC take on Rory McIlroy's Boston Common Golf.

Woods' team will be looking to bounce back after being heavily thrashed 12-1 by Los Angeles GC in Week 2. 

McIlroy's side are making their debut in Week 4.
