Wives and girlfriends on the 2024 Presidents Cup team

Captain: Jim Furyk | Wife: Tabitha Furyk

Furyk married Tabitha in 2000.

They first met five years prior at the 1995 Memorial Tournament.

Speaking on how he met Tabitha, he said: "I walked off the green [after my round] and was goofing around with some kids and Tabitha caught my eye, so I said hello to her. I was a little shy about going up and talking to her.

"Then Ray (Tabitha’s Boss) came up to interview me. The whole while he was interviewing me I kind of positioned myself so that I could keep checking her out. And [Ray] noticed, and he's the one that ended up kind of introducing us and getting us started."

They share two children, a daughter named Caleigh who was born in 2002 and a son named Tanner who was born in 2004.

Player: Scottie Scheffler | Wife: Meredith Scudder

Scheffler and Meredith grew up in Texas. They met at Highland Park High School but it was not until college that they started dating.

Interestingly, Scheffler was attending the University of Texas whilst Meredith was studying at the rival University of Texas A&M.

They maintained a long-distance relationship and Scheffler regularly visited his girlfriend on campus. They both graduated in 2018.

He proposed to Meredith, who shares the same age as her husband, at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in June 2020.

Meredith has been a huge supporter of Scheffler's career and she has been there for many of his best moments.

She carried his bag during the Masters Par 3 contest before he went on to win the green jacket in 2022.

They welcomed the first child into the world earlier this season, a son named Bennett.

The arrival of baby Bennett came a week before Scheffler was arrested outside the front gate of Valhalla GC ahead of his second round tee-time at the US PGA.

Scheffler was arrested by officer Bryan Gillis after trying to avoid heavy traffic that was caused after PGA of America employee John Mills was struck and killed by a shuttle bus.

The World No.1 was charged with with second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding traffic signals from an officer.

But after reviewing the evidence, Jefferson County attorney Mike O'Connell said his actions did not satisfy the elements of any criminal offence.

Charges were eventually dropped.

Player: Xander Schauffele | Wife: Maya Lowe

Schauffele is married to Maya Lowe.

The couple got married in Las Vegas a week after the 2021 US Open at Torrey Pines.

Xander and Maya met in 2014 whilst they were both in school.

So the story goes, the two crossed paths whilst Xander was at San Diego State University.

Maya went to the University of California.

Xander graduated with a degree in social sciences whereas Maya studied science and public health.

She also has a Masters degree in healthcare administration.

Katherine with husband Collin Morikawa

Player: Collin Morikawa | Wife: Katherine Morikawa

Born Katherine Zhu, she met her husband Morikawa during her college days in 2017.

She went to Pepperdine University but crossed paths with Collin whilst he attended the University of California, Berkeley.

"We found each other by chance," Collin previously told PEOPLE magazine.

"But we chose to share our lives and dreams together." The rest, as they say, is history!

Undeniably, the biggest passion they share in common is golf.

Katherine played collegiate golf for four years and her scoring average was 76.54.

Collin has spoken of how the pair are extremely competitive on the course, but Katherine usually prevails in '70 per cent' of their chipping competitions.

He even previously claimed he didn't start winning college golf events until they started dating.

"Kat has been by my side through it all," he said of Katherine.

"She would hate me if I didn't say this, but I didn't start winning in college until she showed up in my life, so thanks Kat.

"Whenever she's there, it always just gets me away from golf.

"She knows how I'm feeling after golf, like you said, she's played collegiately, she knows golf can take a toll on you, whether it's a good or bad day.

"So she's on that same swing of if we're playing well or not well, but, yeah, I'm very lucky to have her.

"Having someone at dinner makes things a lot nicer than sitting down there at the hotel by myself."

After four years as boyfriend and girlfriend, the couple tied the knot in November 2022.

Collin proposed one year prior. He popped the question in the Bahamas before playing in Tiger Woods' annual PGA Tour event.

He said he found getting down on one knee to ask Katherine to be his forever and always harder than playing elite golf.

"Golf I do everyday," he said. "It's normal. Proposing is not."

The couple wed at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles in front of approximately 100 close friends and relatives.

According to PEOPLE, a 10-piece wind and string orchestra played. They exchanged their vows in private.

Katherine later shared pictures of the big day on Instagram, writing: "A day we will remember forever."

Player: Wyndham Clark | Girlfriend: Julia Kemmling

Clark has been in a relationship with girlfriend Julia Kemmling for a number of years now.

There is not a great deal of information about their private lives but it is believed they have been a couple since 2017 as that is when a snap of the duo first surfaced on Instagram.

That photograph showed the couple hugging and smiling before they attended a David Guetta concert in Las Vegas.

Julia, in general, appears to be a very low-key person and keeps her social media profiles private.

However, she has been involved in some of Clark's greatest triumphs on the golf course.

She rushed onto the green to kiss Clark after he claimed his maiden major at the 2023 US Open at Los Angeles Country Club.

Player: Patrick Cantlay | Wife: Nikki Guidish

Nikki and Patrick got married in Italy less than 24 hours after the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome on October 2, 2023.

Player: Sahith Theegala | Girlfriend: Juju R. Chan Julianna

Theegala and his girlfriend Juju R. Chan Julianna have been dating ever since they attended Pepperdine University in 2017.

Their passion for sporting excellence was seemingly a big reason for hitting things off in the first place.

While Sahith Theegala was notching up wins left right and centre in his final year at Pepperdine, most notably the Southwestern Invitational, his girlfriend Juju was excelling in the swimming pool as her team broke the uni swim and dive record in the 200 metres.

That was achieved at the Pacific Coast Swim and Dive Conference Championships in 2019.

Juju is very active on social media, especially Tiktok.

She recently reacted to Theegala's controversial two-shot penalty at the Tour Championship.

Then she made fun about not flying home private from the tournament where her boyfriend won $7.5m for finishing third at East Lake.

The couple still reside there with their two children named Robert and Ruth.

Finau has stated in several interviews that he would like to have an even bigger family.

Tony has five brothers and three sisters.

Alayna also has four siblings.

Tony and Alayna have not revealed how, where and when they met.

We did get a small insight into their relationship in the Netflix documentary Full Swing.

Tony had an entire episode dedicated to his life behind-the-scenes as a pro golfer, entitled: Don't Get Bitter, Get Better.

The couple both share a huge passion for philanthropy.

The Tony Finau Foundation is an organisation that 'aims to empower and inspire youth and their families to discover, develop and achieve the best of their gifts through education, wellness and recreation'.

The foundation also donated $100,000 to produce millions of facemasks for healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. "Let's take care of our true heroes," Alayna wrote on Instagram.

Player: Sam Burns | Wife: Caroline Campbell

The couple are said to have dated for approximately five years before Burns asked Caroline's father permission to propose.

He popped the question during the 2019 RBC Heritage at famed Hilton Head Island.

Burns told the media after confirming their engagement: "I hope that we'll have many years together and grow old together and get to enjoy a lot of fun things together."

They started dating at Louisiana State University and got engaged in April 2019 and announced the news with an Instagram post.

Burns told the PGA Tour official website: "She was actually my first Valentine when we were five years old, and then after that she wanted nothing to do with me until high school."

Caroline and Sam welcomed their first child in April earlier this year, a baby boy named Bear.
