Valero Texas Open prize money: See how much they are playing for as the PGA Tour heads to San Antonio for the final event before the 2025 Masters.
The PGA Tour heads to San Antonio for the Valero Texas Open.
As it's the final event before the 2025 Masters Tournament, it's no surprise to see there are some high-profile names in the field.
Three-time major champion Jordan Spieth headlines the event, along with European Ryder Cup stars Ludvig Aberg, Tommy Fleetwood and Matthew Fitzpatrick.
Patrick Cantlay and Tony Finau are also playing.
World number one Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are sitting this one out having decided to do their final prep for the first major of the year at the Texas Children's Houston Open.
The defending champion of the Valero Texas Open is Akshay Bhatia.
Bhatia defeated the Tour's best putter, Denny McCarthy, in a playoff 12 months ago.
All the action gets underway on 3 April.
The prize purse has also been increased slightly for this year's edition of the tournament.
The 2025 Valero Texas Open has a total purse of $9.5m. That means the winner will scoop a first place cheque for $1.7m.
