Matt Wallace cracks excellent joke about 'unhinged' PGA Tour rookie
England's Matt Wallace says PGA Tour rookie Alejandro Tosti sounds like 'my kind of guy' after hearing the Argentine golfer has had multiple caddies in 2024.
England's Matt Wallace joked Alejandro Tosti sounds like 'my kind of guy' after hearing the 'unhinged' PGA Tour rookie has had six caddies in seven tournaments this season.
Tosti came to the established North American circuit via the Korn Ferry Tour.
The 27-year-old Argentine golfer has a reputation for being a bit of a wildboy.
So much so, he was suspended by the Korn Ferry Tour after a pattern of inappropriate behaviour finally caught up with him.
Ryan French aka MondayQInfo on X went into detail as to why he was hit with the suspension last August.
So the story goes, Tosti launched into an expletive-filled rant over one of his playing partner's pace of play.
The accused slow golfer was Kyle Westmoreland.
Already this season we have seen glimpses of why Tosti's reputation is unlikely to change anytime soon.
During the opening round of the Sony Open in Hawaii, Tosti let his playing partners know very clearly how he felt.

Over the weekend, Tosti caught the headlines again over an apparent disagreement with Tony Finau.
During the third round of the Texas Houston Children's Open, both Tosti and Finau found themselves with similar putts.
Understandably, both players wanted the other to go first to get a read on the line.
The whole exchange lasted several minutes, according to PGA Tour on-course announcer John Wood.
Tosti's golf coach later reacted to the incident by saying the Argentine was 'not out to make friends'.
"He's not scared of anyone," he said.
Tosti was the subject of debate during the latest episode of The Chipping Forecast.
The aforementioned Wallace was a guest on alongside Iain Carter, Andrew Cotter and Eddie Pepperell.
Cotter told the pod the 'unhinged' Tosti has reportedly had six caddies in seven tournaments this year.
"My kind of guy," joked Wallace, who was likely referring to the exchange he had with his looper during the 2023 Valspar Championship.
"He's angry guy," said Cotter. "But he's talented and he's going to be entertaining to watch.
"I don't think many people will warm to him [because] in this day and age he's just the kind of guy who rubs people the wrong way."
He added: "He's going to be watchable, put it that way."
Wallace chimed in by saying he had heard there was 'a book' of stories on Tosti.
"You need a villain sometimes," Wallace said.
Added Pepperell: "I would have him in the featured group every week moving forward if I was the PGA Tour.
"This is a great opportunity and you know he's going to do something."
