Texas Children's Houston Open: how much Scottie Scheffler and others will earn
Check out how much some of the world's best PGA Tour players will earn at this week's Texas Children's Houston Open.
World No.1 Scottie Scheffler will bid to become the first player since Dustin Johnson in 2017 to win three straight PGA Tour events at this week's Texas Children's Houston Open.
Scheffler enters this week off the back of successful title defences at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship.
A victory on home turf for Scheffler this week would also make him the first player since Rory McIlroy (2014 US PGA) to win three straight strokeplay tournaments on the PGA Tour.
Johnson's consecutive threepeat on the PGA Tour came at the 2017 WGC Match Play.
Should a red-hot Scheffler land a third victory of the season and a ninth career PGA Tour title, he will also walk away from Memorial Park with a cheque for $1.638m.
Scheffler has never won the Houston Open but he has come close the past two seasons with a T9 in 2022 and an even closer T2 in 2021 when finishing two strokes behind Jason Kokrak.
The runaway FedEx Cup leader starts a warm 11/4 favourite to win a third straight title on the PGA Tour.
Scheffler owns a fairly impressive 68.75 stroke average at Memorial Park over his last 12 rounds since 2020.
Other players in this week's field include reigning US Open champion Wyndham Clark, who has finished runner-up to Scheffler on his last two PGA Tour starts, and defending champion Tony Finau.
The tournament did not feature on the PGA Tour schedule in 2023 but Finau prevailed by four strokes in 2022.
