Scottie Scheffler has been spotted in the gym ramping up preparations for his first PGA Tour event of 2025.

The runaway World No.1 cut his hand in a 'freak accident' during Christmas with his family.

It has not been revealed how exactly Scheffler sustained the injury, but the reigning Masters champion required surgery to remove shards of glass from his right palm.

Scheffler was forced to sit out The Sentry and the Sony Open

He hoped to be back in last week for The American Express - won by a nervous Sepp Straka - but has delayed his comeback until the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am at the earliest.

A new clip of Scheffler was posted on Sunday evening by Chirosport TV and the video shows the golfer being put through his paces in a gym session.

Scheffler is wearing a bandage and can be seen performing some overhead lunges with a resistance band to help improve his stability.

It's fair to say Golf Twitter enjoyed the clip of Scheffler

Here's some comments:

"Me at the gym Monday doing this exact exercise in the hopes of shaving a couple strokes."

"If I gotta do all that to be a better golfer then I'm good with where I'm at."

"Is that Quaddie Scheffler?"

"Man do I wish I could be the guy making $250k a year telling pro golfers to do whatever it is Scottie is doing here."

"Might try this one in the bar next weekend."

"Looks good for a 37-year-old."

"Scottie looks absolutely stacked! The rest of the Tour is f-----."

"Rocky vibes."

"I think Bryson DeChambeau could give him a few pointers in lateral movement."

"That's a full-on dad bod."

We will have to wait and see whether Scheffler will actually play at Pebble Beach later in the month.

The tournament is one of eight signature events on the 2025 schedule

Scheffler was named the PGA Tour's player of the year in December for the third consecutive season.

He won nine times overall, including the Players, Masters and an Olympic gold medal.
