LIV Golf rebel Harold Varner III was arrested on Thursday night.
LIV Golf star Harold Varner III was arrested in North Carolina on Thursday night for driving while impaired.
Varner III, 33, was arrested at around 7.30pm ET on Thursday night, according to Mecklenburg County Sheriff Office.
The one-time LIV Golf winner, who was recently traded from the Range Goats to Dustin Johnson's 4 Aces ahead of the 2024 season, was pulled over in Uptown Charlotte and registered a .16 BAC during a breathalyzer test.
Varner III was issued with a $500 bond, which he posted on Thursday night after being taken into custody.
The World No.229 will next appear in court on January 19 at 9am, two weeks before the start of the 2024 LIV Golf League season.

Varner III was previously pulled over in Mecklenburg County for speeding back in April 2021.
Back then he was reportedly driving at 54mph in a 45mph speed zone.
Varner III has one LIV victory to his name coming at the 2023 LIV Golf Washington tournament.
Prior to that, Varner III just had two career wins to his name at the 2016 Australian PGA Championship and 2022 Saudi International.
Varner III played on the PGA Tour for nine season before joining the Saudi-bankrolled LIV Golf circuit in its first season in 2021.
He never won on the PGA Tour.
It is understood Varner III accepted a signing fee in the region of $15m to leave the PGA Tour to join LIV Golf.
Varner III is married to wife Amanda Varner, and the couple share a two-year-old son.
