Rory McIlroy collaborates with Nike to design his latest golf shoe...
The eagle-eyed among you will have noticed Rory McIlroy was debuting a new pair of Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour golf shoes en route to a tie for fourth at last week's Genesis Open, and the brand has released more details ahead of its launch on March 1.
McIlroy, who heads into this week's WGC-Mexico Championship off the back of three consecutive top-five finishes, has worked closely with Nike on the new shoes and has been directly involved with the shoe's feel, shape, look and cushioning.
According to reports, McIlroy met with Nike designers multiple times last season to offer his feedback on the Air Zoom Victory Tour shoes, of which he wore the final version at Riviera last week.
The shoes feature Nike's React Foam, a technology that has been used by the brand for the best part of 18 months in its basketball shoes, which according to the Nike website, offer a "soft and springy" feel about them with lots of stability.
They also contain a waterproof premium leather that keeps mositure out at the same time, and the sockliner has the words "all day comfort, tee to green" printed on it.
It will be available from March 1 in both white and black versions.
