If you are in the market for one of the very best golf stand bags in the game, simply look no further than the new Vessel Player V Pro Stand Bag.
I have tested many golf bags in my 14 years here at GolfMagic, but few have struck the perfect balance of form, function and feel quite like this one.
At £469, this bag is by no means cheap and towards the very top end of the market.
But this price tag brings with it premium performance, durability, and sheer visual appeal.
If you can stomach the dough, then you will definitely be armed with one of the best golf stand bags money can buy right now.
Let's dive in and tell you some more...

Looks, Feel and Weight
From the moment I picked the Vessel Player V Pro up in its striking new Heritage Brown colourway, I knew it was going to turn heads.
Its deep brown paired with black trim gives this bag an old-school-meets-modern look that’s both refined and flashy.
But style only gets you so far.
Thankfully, the Vessel Player V Pro backs up its looks with serious substance, as we will come on to in a moment.
In terms of weight, it's just over seven pounds, which is more than three pounds heavier than the OGIO Fuse Stand Bag we recently tested.
It still felt pretty light on my back, however, but if weight is important to you then we would have to say you might prefer something else.
Then again, if looks and style are important to you, we would pick this one by Vessel every day of the week.

Performance and Comfort
Although a tad heavier than some other golf stand bags we have tested this season, it certainly did not detract for levels of comfort.
While the Vessel Player V Pro isn’t the lightest stand bag I’ve ever carried, it’s certainly light enough to ride comfortably, and its weight feels well distributed.
This is all achieved thanks to the bag's Equilibrium 2.0 double strap system with its eight-point swivel mechanism that adjusts naturally to movement.
Arguably the best part of this bag is its ease of club access that prevents any faffing about when it comes to club selection.
Its awesome 7-way top divider offers smooth club organisation with no snagging or club crowding - something that’s all too common with cheaper bags.
Removing and replacing clubs was an effortless process throughout my round, and this made a real difference to the flow of my game.
If there’s one slight knock against this bag then it would have to be its lack of full waterproofing.
At this price, some golfers might expect that as standard.
So if you often play in the rain, you might want to explore other options, but for those who mostly play in drier and warmer climates, this will only be a minor drawback.

Storage
Storage is another department where this stand bag really shines.
You have multiple magnetic pockets on hand, including a velour-lined rangefinder pocket and a valuables pocket with antimicrobial lining.
There are also quick-access side compartments, a large garment section, and even two cooler-lined bottle sleeves.
Every pocket feels well thought out by Vessel, while also being secure and easily accessible.
You’ll also find nice touches like a Velcro glove patch, pen holder, towel ring, umbrella holder, and a matching rain hood.
Stand and Stability
Stability is fantastic, as you'd expect for the price.
Thanks to its wide, low-profile base and patented rotator stand system, the Vessel Player V Pro stood upright and firm even in the strongest of winds during my wind.
I also tested it out on hills and slopes, and it still remained on its feet.
I can't tell you how many stand bags I've seen topple over in gusty conditions down the years, but this one doesn't budge at all.
Think Mike Tyson.

Should You Buy It?
Without any doubt, if you can stomach the price.
The Vessel Player V Pro is a standout in the golf stand bag market right now.
For me, it's the best looking golf bag I have ever tested, especially in its new Heritage Brown colour.
It's one of the most comfortable rides you will ever experience for a golf stand bag.
Club selection is simple with the 7-way divider, and there is tons of space for your accessories.
It also has one of the best stands going.
The only thing going against it is that it's not fully waterproof.
Verdict
If you’re an ardent golfer who values design and performance in equal measure, then the Vessel Player V Pro is a bag that deserves a place on your shoulder.
There is a reason why many of the world's best golfers on the PGA Tour put their faith in Vessel Golf Bags.
