Matthew Fitzpatrick WITB: What equipment does the Englishman use?

European Ryder Cup star and former U.S. Open champion Matthew Fitzpatrick is currently an equipment free agent. 

That means the Englishman can fill his bag with whatever the hell he wants.

Since turning professional way back in 2014, Fitzpatrick has repeatedly tinkered with his set-up. 

Fitzpatrick favours performance over brand loyalty and you will not be surprised to hear the golfer very much favours a meticulous, data-led approach. 

Irons

Fitzpatrick has been using PING irons since he turned pro. 

Currently, he games a set of PING S55 irons (5-PW). He has used them since 2015. He also switched his 4-iron from a Titliest T100 to a PING i210. 

Driver

Fitzpatrick used a TaylorMade M2 driver for many years but changed to Titleist in 2021. He's currently using the TSi3. 

Fairway woods

Once again, Fitzpatrick opts for Titleist in this department. He feels the TSi2 offers more forgiveness than others. 

Fitzpatrick also uses a TSR2 hybrid that is lofted down a little. 

Wedges

Fitzpatrick carries four Titleist Vokey wedges but they are not all the same model. 

His 46° and 52° wedges are the SM9s whilst the 56° and 60° are the SM10s. 

Putter

Widley regarded as one of the best putters on the PGA Tour, Fitzpatrick currently uses a Bettinardi DASS BB1 Fitz prototype. 

Golf ball

Like many touring professionals, Fitzpatrick uses the Titleist Pro V1x.
