Kurt Kitayama: What's in the bag?
We take a look inside Kitayama's bag fresh off his win at the Oman Open.
Kurt Kitayama produced a stunning comeback to win the Oman Open on Sunday and win his second European Tour event.
Kitayama had made a solid start through the first two rounds of the Oman Open at Al Mouj Golf, but after starting his third round with a quadruple bogey, the American fell seven shots off the lead before play was stopped due to darkness.
It meant Kitayama had to play 33 holes on Sunday, which he seemed to thrive on as he made up all six shots he dropped on Saturday to finish the third round with a one under par 71.
A good start to his final round put him in contention, but he needed to birdie 16 and 17 to get back to the top of the leaderboard, on a day where good scoring was once again proving a challenge.
With the players around him crumbling at the final hurdle, Kitayama picked up his second European Tour victory in just 11 events, having won in Mauritius back in December.
