#7 - PRAYER GRIP

There is a growing trend of players using the prayer putting grip, one of which is British Masters champion Paul Dunne.

The prayer putting grip features the palms facing each other (and so it is sometimes called the "palms facing grip") and the thumbs next to each other. A golfer can either place the right fingers on top of the left, or vice versa.

The major positive with this stroke is that since the hands are at the same level, the shoulders also remain level. This creates a perfect triangle between the shoulders and the arms, which will improve the pendulum of the stroke.

To make this grip efficient though you will need a wider grip, so head down to your local store and get something that will allow you to accomodate both thumbs on the grip side by side.
