Justin Thomas withdraws from US PGA through injury
Justin Thomas has withdrawn from this week's US PGA Championship at Bethpage Black through a niggling wrist injury.
Thomas was World No.1 this time last year but has since slipped to fifth after failing to win a tournament since the 2018 WGC Bridgestone last August.
The American has been steady on Tour this year with four top-10 finishes but has yet to find the form that propelled him to the summit of world golf 12 months ago - much to do with his wrist troubles.
Thomas took to Twitter to express his disappointment at withdrawing from the major...

Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy are the four clear favourites for the year's second major.
