LIV Golf fans laugh in face of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy after shock TGL update
Report: Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's new TGL is paying 'actors' to attend their new indoor golf league featuring PGA Tour players.
Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's brand new TGL is on the hunt to pay for 'actors' to fill seats at the SoFi Center throughout its inaugural 2025 season, according to WPTV.
TGL has since hit back at such a report though, claiming they are only looking for paid actors at dress rehearsals rather than their live events.
But WPTV stands by its initial report.

Woods and McIlroy's new indoor tech-infused golf league - comprising 24 PGA Tour players - starts on Tuesday 7 January when New York GC battle it out against The Bay GC.
TGL has been set up by Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and their TMRW Sports co-founder and CEO Mike McCarley.
Each TGL team will play five matches with the top four teams advancing to the TGL Playoffs, a best of three series starting on 24 March.
Woods' Jupiter Links GC and McIlroy's Boston Common GC will not lock horns until Monday 27 January.

The action takes place at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Attendance will reach 1,500 spectators.
TGL was forced into a 12-month suspension after the stadium roof caved in at the end of 2023.
But now that it's finally here, news has emerged in a report by WPTV that the upstart league is currently looking for "enthusiastic golf spectators to energize our live events" throughout TGL's first season.
The golf 'actors' will go through auditions in order to be selected for 'the role'. Those lucky enough to come through the process will then be compensated with free gear and payments ranging from $150-250, according to an Instagram post by Penguin Entertainment, the third-party agency hired by TGL to source talent for the upcoming matches.

The update, as you can imagine, has been met with a great deal of laughter by LIV Golf fans on social media, many of whom consider the PGA Tour has somewhat already copied their homework with a new team golf league.
But despite the fact paying for actors might not look like the greatest advertisement for TGL, a spokesperson has told WPTV that this is all common practice for a made-for-TV show.
"We have a small, intimate venue and like an awards show we use seat fillers to, you know, fill seats," spokesperson Adam Freifeld told WPTV.
TGL has since hit back at WPTV's report, claiming they are only seeking paid actors for 'dress rehearsals' as well as 'additional filmed content'.
But WPTV is standing by its article.
If any GolfMagic Readers are interested in getting paid to attend events at the SoFi Center then please get in touch at the following email address - auditions@penguinshows.com.
A lot of TGL events are now sold out but there are still some general admission tickets available via Ticketmaster.
