'I want a refund': Solheim Cup spectators absolutely fuming over shuttle bus mayhem
Outrage: Solheim Cup fans demand refund after waiting hours to get a shuttle bus to watch the first day's play at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club.
Solheim Cup spectators are absolutely fuming on the first day of the biennial contest between United States and Europe following shuttle bus chaos getting in to Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia today.
According to a tweet posted by the popular NUCLR Golf account, Solheim Cup fans are experiencing heavy delays on the first day of the 2024 Solheim Cup match as a result of an issue with the event's shuttle bus service.
A number of fans on the scene are already calling for an immediate refund on their ticket since they have missed the start of the action.
The LPGA has since apologised for the significant disruption made to spectators' experience.

'Reports are coming in that fans are furious after waiting hours in line to catch a shuttle to the Solheim Cup this morning,' tweeted NUCLR Golf.
'Many still haven’t reached the course.'
One golf fan on the scene tweeted: 'Two hours in the parking lot and only 200 yard from the front it’s a disgrace refunds need to be issued.'
Another irate fan commented: 'Please, continue to expose the officials and planners for this travesty… we bought exclusive expensive tickets and are so angry. Must fix it for the weekend.. fans/volunteers are soooo dissatisfied and angry. Can’t use Uber into property.. we are hostages to this screw up'.
Day passes to the Solheim Cup this week are going for $110 with weekly passes at $260.
Golfweek reporter Beth Ann Nichols admitted the situation was no better during Thursday's practice round and that she knew there would be further issues on Friday.
Nichols tweeted: 'There were serious bus issues yesterday and when I got to the first tee and saw so many empty seats, knew there had to be something wrong.'
Nichols considers it would have been a nice touch for tournament organisers to hand out water or Solheim Cup merchandise to make up for the shuttle bus service delays.
She even considers the LPGA Tour commissioner Mollie Marcoux Samaan could have got out there to speak with fans that were forced to wait.
The first day of the Solheim Cup got underway bright and early this morning.
Only the first tee grandstand was nowhere near to being full like it normally would have been as a result of the shuttle bus mayhem experienced outside of the golf course.
