PGA Tour star Collin Morikawa makes eyebrow-raising decision
PGA Tour star Collin Morikawa has started working with his former coach, less than a year with parting ways with the instructor.
PGA Tour star Collin Morikawa has returned to his former swing coach less than a year after parting ways with the instructor after declaring results weren't matching his expectations.
Morikawa had worked with Rick Sessinghaus since the age of eight but he parted ways with the PGA coach before the 2023 Ryder Cup.
At the time, he said: "What I saw kind of over the past two years wasn't to my expectations."

Morikawa was referring to the fact he had a clear dip in form after ticking off two major wins during the COVID era.
The golfer won the 2020 PGA Championship and added to his major haul a year later at the 2021 Open Championship.
Morikawa had the chance to go to world number one but after letting that opportunity slip through his fingers it appeared he went all-in on trying to make some swing changes.
And in truth, at times, he has looked lost.
He turned to Mark Blackburn, known for working with the likes of Max Homa and Justin Rose, but it appears their partnership was short-lived.
And they split before the 2024 Masters, weeks after the golfer explained to Golfweek how low his confidence truly was.
"I'm in transition," he said as he paid tribute to Blackburn.
"I just had to take a step back and start from the basics again."
Morikawa fared well at Augusta National and ultimately finished in a tie for third alongside the aforementioned Homa.
His challenge for the green jacket was undone at the 11th hole when he found the water.
Morikawa later conceded greed got the best of him.
It has now been confirmed, via Barstool Sports' Dan Rapaport, that he's back full-time with Sessinghaus.
Morikawa is in the field for this week's Wells Fargo Championship.
