Rory McIlroy claimed his 26th PGA Tour title at the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship.
The 35-year-old managed to reel in Xander Schauffele before the turn in the final round and then put his foot on the gas on the back nine at Quail Hollow Club.
In the end, McIlroy reached a four-round total of 17-under par, which was good enough for a five-stroke win over his American rival.

His stunning win marked the fourth occasion he has won at Quail Hollow.
He previously won the Wells Fargo Championship in 2010, 2015 and 2021.
The victory came one week before the second men's major of the year.
As the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship was a 'signature' event, it meant the tournament had an inflated prize purse of $20,000,000.
That meant McIlroy scooped a mega $3,600,000 for the win.
Overall, McIlroy has now won $86,696,279 in official PGA Tour prize money.
