Lucas Glover says Rory McIlroy is 'probably' still underrated after he watched the Northern Irishman land his 27th PGA Tour title at iconic Pebble Beach.

McIlroy, 35, began the final round at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am one stroke off the lead but ended up winning by two over his good friend Shane Lowry.

Glover, 45, was in contention until McIlroy pulled clear with an eagle at the par-5 14th by capitalising on an enormous 339-yard drive.

"He's honestly to me getting better as he ages," Glover told reporters.

"Which I don't think people do much. But he's hitting it maybe further than he ever has and hitting it better than he ever has, looks to me anyway.

"[This was his] first week out on our Tour [in 2025] and it looks like he's dominating. Good for him.

"I know he works hard, we practice at the same place at home and he works his butt off and he deserves everything he gets."

"He's just so in control"

After a poor start, Lowry recovered to push McIlroy all the way to finish solo second place.

Lowry made birdie at 11, 12, 14 and 16 but by the time they reached the final hole McIlroy was home and dry.

"He's just so in control," Lowry said.

"He drives the ball incredibly well, he always does.

"He was just in control of his ball today and he putted nicely.

"It all came together. I think like he said, if he cuts out his mistakes with his irons, he's very hard to beat."

Lowry said McIlroy has been a top 10 player in the world for at least 15 years.

"I think his slump was 12," he said. "I don't think his game is much different than it was."

McIlroy's victory represented the eighth year in a row where he has landed a PGA Tour title.

It was also his 15th win that saw him trailing heading into the final round.

Next up on the schedule is the WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale.

McIlroy and Lowry are both in the field.

Viktor Hovland has withdrawn.
