The Masters 2025 LIVE: Day two as it happened

Justin Rose leads the 2025 Masters at Augusta National by one stroke from LIV Golf recruit Bryson DeChambeau.

NEW: MASTERS R3 LIVE UPDATES

England's Justin Rose leads the 2025 Masters after 36 holes.

Rose carded a 1-under 71 on Friday to reach the summit on 8-under par.

He leads 2024 U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau by one stroke.

Rory McIlroy looked as though his bid to achieve the career grand slam was done and dusted for another year.

But the Ulsterman roared back into contention on day two with a 6-under 66.

Scottie Scheffler, the reigning champion, battled his way to an entertaining 71.

Tyrrell Hatton, Jason Day, Corey Conners, Shane Lowry and Viktor Hovland are also inside the top 10.

Is this the most important Masters since 01 Tiger slam?

A great question from Sky Sports: Has there been a lineup of better storylines since 2001?

  1. Rory completing career grand slam.
  2. Scheffler looking to defend.
  3. LIV golfer to take the green jacket.
  4. Justin Rose leading into the weekend.

I for one can't wait for these leaders to tee off.

Scheffler to tee off at 19:10

Scheffler -5 (19:10)

After an up and down round yesterday, Scottie is in, arguably, his prime position to take his third green jacket and be the 4th to defend it.
