Video clip of Charley Hull before major sparks war (!) among golf fans
Footage of Charley Hull smoking a cigarette and signing autographs for children before the 2024 U.S. Women's Open has divided opinion among golf fans.
News of Lexi Thompson's shock retirement before the 2024 U.S. Women's Open is likely to be the big talking point this week but Charley Hull might inadvertently change that.
Hull channelled her inner John Daly at Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania on Tuesday by smoking a cigarette whilst etching her name onto some memorabilia for the kids.
It's fair to say that the clip has divided opinion of those who viewed it, with some suggesting she was not only setting a poor example but also blowing secondhand smoke into kids' faces.

Others thought she just looked f---ing cool. "New favourite golfer," one wrote on X. Another added: "Charley Hull just gained a fan."
We have to admit over here at GolfMagic that we were completely unaware the 28-year-old was a smoker, especially given how she appears to be in the gym every day pumping iron.
Apparently, she's been a smoker for a while. Clips have surfaced of her 'ripping darts' at last week's LPGA Tour event in between shots.
