Golf superstar Charley Hull makes social media claim after shock TikTok ban
LPGA Tour star Charley Hull believes the world would be a "happier place" if all social media platforms were banned and not just TikTok.
Golf superstar Charley Hull believes the world would be a "happier and healthier place" if all social media channels were banned - and not just TikTok.
Hull, 28, made her feelings be known via her Instagram Story after TikTok confirmed it will "go dark" in the United States on Sunday unless the outgoing Joe Biden administration gives assurances the ban will not be enforced.
The Supreme Court upheld a law banning the app in the United States on Friday, unless its China-based parent company, ByteDance, sells the platform by 19 January. ByteDance has reportedly refused to find a buyer.
The decision to shut down TikTok in the USA today has left a number of social media influencers in a state of shock.
But on the eve of becoming 47th U.S. President, Donald Trump admits he will "most likely" give TikTok a 90-day reprieve from a ban. Trump is expected to provide an update on the subject when he assumes office on Monday 20 January.
Avid golfer Trump last week went low to win his Senior Club Championship.
