Charley Hull has taken to social media to post a statement about fake accounts and scammers following 'an incident' during a recent LPGA event.

Hull, 28, admits a number of fake social media accounts have been set up in her name and they have been asking golf fans for either money or gift cards in exchange for 'meet & greets' or 'fan membership'.

The English superstar admits "there are SO many fake accounts out there claiming to be me."

Golf social media sensation Paige Spiranac recently admitted to something similar.

Although Hull did not go into further details, she did reveal 'an incident' unfolded at a recent LPGA event.

It has all led to Hull now having to post an urgent 'PLEASE READ!' message on her social media channels.

Hull wrote the following message:

"I mentioned this a few weeks ago but after an incident at a tournament recently, I feel the need to speak out again.

"I will never ask for money or gift cards in exchange for meet & greets or fan club membership. These clubs are fake and run by scammers. My team and I only use my official social media accounts, @charley.hull (Instagram) @hullcharley (X) at ALL times, there are no exceptions. I am not on Tik Tok. There are SO many fake accounts out there claiming to be me, if you are contacted by them please report. Let's all stick together so we can beat the scammers.

"(Please see links in bio for X and Facebook accounts)."

Hull finished her LPGA season with a T16 at CME Group Tour Championship last month.

Although failed to win on the LPGA in 2024, Hull did land her first victory around the world in more than two years at the Aramco Team Series Riyadh in Saudi Arabia on the Ladies European Tour.

The TaylorMade staff player ended the season 11th in the Rolex World Golf Rankings.

Many consider Hull is the best player in the game right now without a major to her name heading into 2025.

Hull has three times finished runner-up in the majors (Chevon 2016, US Women's Open 2023, AIG Women's Open 2023).

GolfMagic got the chance to film some content with Charley Hull at the Aramco Team Series Tampa event on the LET earlier this season.
