Charley Hull was forced into some mid-round physio treatment but still went on to shoot a brilliant 6-under 64 in the first round of The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican on the LPGA Tour.
Hull, 28, captured her first title around the world in more than two years with victory at the Aramco Team Series Riyadh in her last start earlier this month.
"Finally the bride and not the bridesmaid," Hull captioned her victory Instagram post following a number of recent close calls in the majors and on the LPGA Tour.
Hull then continued in Florida exactly where she left off in Saudi Arabia by racing to the top of the leaderboard in the early stages of the LPGA Tour's final regular event of the season at The ANNIKA by Gainbridge at Pelican.
The English superstar made seven bogeys and one bogey on Thursday to jjoin South Korea's Jiwon Jeon at the top of the leaderboard on 6-under par.

Hull was forced to take a brief timeout midway through her round due to hip injury.
She called in a physio to sort her out.
Hull was seen lying on the floor for a couple of minutes as the physio worked his magic.
But she got back on her feet and made three birdies on the way home to hit the top of the board.
"I always have bad hips," Hull said after opening with a 64.
"I've been kind of lazy on the physio the last two weeks and haven't really had any physio and it's just gone out.
"Yesterday I wasn't feeling very well in the pro-am had. Stomach pains and cramps and stuff.
"I think it just tightened my whole body up. I'm going to have a bit of physio and some needles put in me after the round."
Hull was also seen ripping darts during the round, which has become the norm for Hull in golf events this season.
Runaway World No.1 Nelly Korda opened brightly too with a 4-under 66.
Hull is looking to land her LPGA Tour hat-trick this week.
She is winless on the LPGA Tour since October 2022 when she won the Volunteers of America Classic.
Korda, on the other hand, is attempting to win a seventh title on the LPGA Tour in 2024.
She was last week confirmed as the LPGA Tour's Rolex Player of the Year.
Korda was also confirmed this month as SI Swimsuit's newest athlete for 2025.
