Sergio Garcia's Fireballs teammate Eugenio Chacarra wants out of LIV Golf, according to a report.

According to the No Laying Up podcast, Chacarra wants to cut ties with the league altogether after three seasons with the circuit.

LIV Golf concluded their 2024 campaign over the weekend, with Cameron Smith's Ripper winning the Team Championship in Dallas.

Chacarra, 24, joined LIV Golf officially for the 2023 season, having played all seven tournaments in their beta-test inaugural season as an amateur.

He had made a name for himself at PGA Tour U and was a standout player in Oklahoma's college team.

It was anticipated that Chacarra would have a successful career on the PGA Tour but he decided LIV was his best option.

It is unknown if Chacarra received a signing-on fee, but he pocketed $3,284,583 in on-course earnings in 2023 and $2,452,900 this year.

Such was his potential, Jon Rahm compared him to Seve Ballesteros and the Spaniard even congratulated the golfer when he claimed his first LIV win.

Chacarra took down LIV Golf Bangkok in October 2022 at the height of LIV's feud with the PGA Tour.

"Although some people want to make us look at them as the enemy," Rahm said at the time.

"He is just a 22 years old guy winning against some of the best players of the world. Congratulations if you see this Eugenio."

Chacarra has struggled on the course somewhat since then. In 2023, his best finish came when he tied for fifth in Tulsa.

This year, his best result came back in May when he tied for 10th in Singapore.

Chacarra plays in the Fireballs team alongside the aforementioned Garcia, David Puig and Abraham Ancer.

He once described LIV as 'the future' and he couldn't have been more thrilled that Garcia picked up the phone to ask him to be part of his quartet.

But now he wants out, according to No Laying Up's Tron Carter.

Carter said: "I'm told Chacarra is not happy and he wants out, but the kid that won the U.S. Am wants in badly, so he'll probably be on LIV's fireballs."

Host Chris Soloman interjected: "Chacarra wants out?"

He replied: "Correct. Allegedly. That's what I'm being told by multiple people."

Carter was referring to Jose Luis Ballester who won the 2024 U.S. Amateur as Chacarra's replacement.

The Spaniard was ranked 10th in the amateur rankings when he held off Noah Kent at Hazeltine National to claim the prestigious title in August.

LIV's 2025 season begins next February in Riyadh.

Their unofficial posterboy, Phil Mickelson, claimed before the Team Championship that there remains intense interest from PGA Tour players about making the switch.

But Lefty refused to say which players could move.

LIV will likely go on another recruitment drive over the coming months.

GolfMagic has already explored who LIV will be targeting over the next few months.

Xander Schauffele, Tony Finau, Viktor Hovland, Hideki Matsuyama, Wyndham Clark and Jason Day could be on their radar.

Update:

Chacarra has now responded to the claim, telling @FlushingIt: "It's not true. I've just landed in Spain and have no idea where that's come from.

"I'm all good after just finishing the season. I didn't get relegated, so am eligible for LIV next year and that's what I plan to do."
