A key member of Bryson DeChambeau's inner circle has reportedly claimed the reigning U.S. Open champion is committed to LIV Golf

Last week, the Pull Hook podcast claimed DeChambeau had asked for a contract extension worth $280m with the breakaway tour.

There has been some confusion around the length of his deal, with some reports claiming it expires at the end of 2025.

DeChambeau signed for LIV Golf in 2022 for a figure reportedly north of $100m.

Pull Hook claimed that DeChambeau's request was ultimately rejected by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia - which bankrolls LIV - and he was set for a quicker-than-anticipated return to the PGA Tour

It was such an outlandish claim that even Lee Westwood chimed in, describing it as 'codswallop'.

A source close to DeChambeau has now told Mirror Sport that his contract runs into the 2026 campaign.

And DeChambeau isn't going anywhere.

"The captains have a 25 percent equity stake in their teams," the source told the paper.

"They are committed to the long-term success and future of their teams and the league."

At the turn of the year, DeChambeau outlined his vision for his LIV team.

He wants to build golf courses and Crushers academies all over the globe.

The plans are all part of his 'mega project' he is spending his LIV millions on.

DeChambeau wants to create a 200-acre community in his hometown.

"We have acquired massive amounts of land in my hometown and it's a three-phase process to build a whole community and increase the size of where I grew up by 30 per cent," he previously said.

"It's a full-scale plan, fully thought out. It's not only to bring golfers to the game but also to bring people to the central valley.

"You build a community around a multi-sport complex centre.

"It's going to take 12-15 months to get the permits approved for the full scope.

"It's over 200 acres of land what we have right now. It's going to be multi-sports complex centre, driving range, golf course, residential, community, centre, the whole thing."
