The American enjoyed a glittering amateur career winning five of six events leading up to the NCAA Division I Championship where he finished runner-up after a three-hole playoff.
Schniederjans then won the 2014 Mark H. McCormack Medal after reaching No.1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, a position he held for 41 consecutive weeks.
A year later he made his pro debut on the PGA Tour at the RBC Canadian Open.
Schniederjans also earned exemptions into U.S. Open and The Open in 2015 as a result of winning the Mark H. McCormack Medal.
He went on to finish T42 at the U.S. Open and a very respectable T12 at The Open.
The latter remains his best ever finish in just five career major appearances.
Schniederjans then came close to landing his first PGA Tour title when losing by one shot to Henrik Stenson at the 2017 Wyndham Championship.

Schniederjans chalked up his sole title on the lower tier Korn Ferry Tour with victory at the 2016 Air Capital Classic.
He has been playing on the Korn Ferry Tour ever since losing his PGA Tour card in 2019.
But Schniederjans has now made the decision to switch his pro career to the Asian Tour's International Series, which is backed by LIV Golf.
He is ranked 727th in the world right now.
Schniederjans will also now fill in as a reserve player on the LIV Golf League for 2025.
It means Schniederjans will be able to represent any team in the league on a given week when a player is unable to participate in the field.
American John Catlin has also confirmed he will play LIV Golf in 2025 as a reserve.
The 2025 LIV Golf League season starts in Saudi Arabia from 6-8 February.
"Gearing up for 2025 and excited for the great opportunity to be a @livgolf_league reserve player and to play the @asiantourgolf international series this year!" tweeted Schniederjans.

The update falls on the same weekend that Sergio Garcia confirmed a new signing on his Fireballs GC.
The former Masters champion confirmed on 10 January that his Fireballs team have signed the highly-rated Spanish youngster Luis Masaveu.
Masaveu replaces Eugenio Chacarra on the Fireballs after Garcia decided to get rid of the 24-year-old at the end of last year's campaign.
"I am super excited to have Luis with us for many reasons, not only because he's a good looking young star but he's a world class person and that's what we love on Fireballs," Garcia told GolfMagic Editor Andy Roberts.
"This is what we try to have. I'm super excited, he has a lot of potential and I think he fits perfectly with the team."
