Golf fans slam LIV Golf League star over bizarre Tiger Woods verdict
Golf fans are all saying the same thing after hearing LIV Golf star Louis Oosthuizen's latest verdict on Tiger Woods.
Golf fans have berated LIV Golf star Louis Oosthuizen after hearing he would not have Tiger Woods in at least his top two golfers of all time.
That was after Oosthuizen took part in Golf Digest's 'blind rank' of the greatest golfers of all time.
'Blind rank' is a new social media game where someone is given 10 different names to then rank in order 1-10 as they are announced.
Oosthuizen was presented with the names in the following order:
- Arnold Palmer
- Rory McIlroy
- Jack Nicklaus
- Phil Mickelson
- Seve Ballesteros
- Annika Sorenstam
- Ben Hogan
- Tiger Woods
- Dustin Johnson
- Greg Norman
Woods of course is a 15-time major champion who is level for outright PGA Tour wins (82) with late great Sam Snead.
Jack Nicklaus is a record 18-time major champion, while Ben Hogan won nine majors.
Scroll below to watch where Oosthuizen put the above names on his blind rank...
"Let me see how I've done..." said Oosthuizen, as he reflected on his top 10.
"I think I've done so, so..."
Here's how golf fans reacted:
LOL okay Louis
Total nonsense
Imagine not having Tiger at 1 or 2
Is he having a laugh?!
What Tiger has done for golf, it’s no question or comparison. No.1 all day long.
How can you not have TW at 1 or 2?
I stopped watching after he voted Tiger at 3
Jack okay at 1 but Tiger 3, do me a favour!
Hmm, I've never seen or heard a discussion which has Tiger outside the top 2!
Terrible! You could put Woods at one or two, but not at three. I love Louis but, sorry!
Hogan above the cat?!
He probably would have picked Gary Player at 2 or 3 as well, so Tiger would likely be fourth if he was given all the greats!
Tiger at 1 all day no brainer
Anyone would think he plays for LIV Golf...
Oosthuizen led his Stinger GC to a fifth place in the season-ending Team Championship last week.
Stinger GC will now lose one of their players in Branden Grace as he got relegated following the final regular season event in Chicago earlier this month.
It remains to be seen who will replace Grace on Stinger GC during the off-season.
Grace can play his way back onto LIV Golf providing he finishes in the top three at a LIV Promotions event later this year.
The South African's only other route back onto LIV Golf will be via the International Series on the Asian Tour.
