Confirmed: LIV Golf League player out injured 'indefinitely'
LIV Golf will hold a qualifier for its reserve players after it was confirmed Jinichiro Kozuma will be out of action for the foreseeable future.

LIV Golf will hold a playoff for its reserve players next week after it was confirmed Jinichiro Kozuma will be out of action for the foreseeable future.
Kozuma, one of Kevin Na's Ironheads, planned to tee it up last week in Hong Kong but withdrew on the eve of the tournament.
It has now been confirmed by the breakaway tour that the golfer, 30, will be out of action 'indefinitely'.
Therefore, the PIF-backed league will hold a playoff next Tuesday to determine who will take Kozuma's place on Na's side.
The playoff will see John Catlin, Wade Ormsby, Kalle Samooja and Ollie Schniederjans battle it out at Sentosa ahead of LIV's event in Singapore.
Here's the format for the playoff:
(VIa LIV's website)
- After six holes, the player with the highest stroke play score is eliminated. If two or more players are tied for the highest score, they continue until a highest score of those players is determined and that player is eliminated.
- After 12 holes, of those remaining players, the one with the highest stroke play score is eliminated. If there is a tie for highest score after 12 holes, those players continue until a highest score is determined and that player is eliminated.
- The two remaining players play the final six holes of stroke play to determine winner. If they are tied after 18 holes, they will continue in a sudden death playoff until a winner is determined.
Scores are not reset after each elimination stage.
It has not been revealed what injury Kozuma is suffering with.
LIV Golf Sentosa is the league's fourth event of the 2025 campaign.
Adrian Meronk won LIV's curtain-raiser in Riyadh and Joaquin Niemann triumphed in Adelaide.
Sergio Garcia boosted his Ryder Cup prospects last week with his second LIV victory in Hong Kong.
Garcia then sent a direct message to European skipper Luke Donald.
As for next week's playoff, all four players have previous experience with LIV.
Catlin came close to securing a full-time berth with the league via the International Series' order of merit but was pipped by Niemann at the last event.
Ormsby was among the first wave of LIV recruits in 2022.
Samooja played his way onto LIV via their Promotions event in 2023 but was relegated last year.
Schniederjans was formerly a top-ranked amateur once tipped for success on the PGA Tour.
