Carlos Ortiz wins International Series Oman as LIV Golf stars dominate event
LIV Golf's Carlos Ortiz runs away with the International Series Oman on the Asian Tour.
Mexico's Carlos Ortiz sprinted away with the International Series Oman as LIV Golf League players proved their class in the Asian Tour event.
Ortiz, 32, captured his first Asian Tour title with a flawless final-round 65 to run out a comfortable four-stroke victory over fellow LIV Golf star Louis Oosthuizen on 19-under.
The Torque GC player incredibly did not make a single bogey all week, albeit he did double-bogey the par-4 1st on day one.
Tournament-favourite and LIV Golf's first winner of the season Joaquin Niemann, the captain of Torque GC, finished in solo third on 14-under par.
Mito Pereira, also on Torque GC, finished a further stroke back in T4 on 13-under par, one stroke ahead of RangeGoats GC's Peter Uihlein in sixth.
Matt Wolff, who also joined RangeGoats GC this season following his lengthy spat with Brooks Koepka on Smash GC, finished in T7 on 11-under par.
