It's understood Barkley will also be calling some of the action in between playing the event.

Bubba Watson announcement is made

Watson endured a tough season on LIV Golf in 2024.

So much so the RangeGoats GC captain was relegated from the circuit.

The left-hander is now in deep discussions with those above at LIV Golf as to whether he will return for a fourth straight season in 2025.

It is understood Watson wants to continue playing on the LIV Golf League.

Watson is this week competing in an International Series event on the Asian Tour.

The Match: Superstars will begin at a quarter-final stage with two versus two scramble match play.

The winning teams will then progress to the semi final and final stages.

The final will be individual match play.

Scramble teams for The Match: Superstars

  • Bill Murray and Wayne Gretzky vs Charles Barkley and Ken Griffey Jr.
  • Mark Wahlberg and Micheal Phelps vs Nate Bargatze and Blake Griffin.

The latest edition of The Match will take place just under a month before LIV Golf's Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka clash against PGA Tour duo Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy at The Showdown at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas.

TNT Sports will also be covering that one.
