Bryson DeChambeau to Tiger and Rory: I'll join TGL but only with my LIV team

Bryson DeChambeau is open to the idea of taking part in TGL. 

But the reigning U.S. Open champion will only compete in Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods' hi-tech league if he's allowed to do so with his LIV Golf team. 

DeChambeau made the comments about golf's latest venture ahead of his debut on Indian soil. 

The American visited the Taj Mahal with his Crushers teammates before heading to Gurgaon for the first International Series event of 2025 on the Asian Tour. 

DeChambeau conceded it is unlikely that he would be offered the chance to join TGL given his current ties to LIV Golf. 

But he didn't shut down the idea completely, adding: "I think TGL has an interesting opportunity.  

"I'm all about anything to grow the game, so if it's helping grow the game, fantastic. I don't know all the numbers behind it.

"Would it be fun? Yeah, it could be fun. I don't know if they'd pick me though, I have no idea. 

"I've got a [LIV] team over here, the Crushers GC, come on. The Crushers would be a part of that!"

DeChambeau is undoubtedly one of the most popular golfers on the planet. 

His victory at the U.S. Open in 2024 coincided with a meteoric rise in the YouTube golf space thanks to his hugely popular 'Break 50' series. 

Season one saw Phil Mickelson, John Daly, Tony Romo, Donald Trump, Tom Brady, Paige Spiranac and Sergio Garcia take part. 

DeChambeau's hole-in-one over his house challenge also attracted millions of views across multiple platforms. 

"It's genuinely appreciated that people are starting to see who I am," he said. 

"And I think a lot of it has to be attributed to going to LIV Golf and being able to produce a lot of YouTube content.

"My team back at home, my team that I work with everyone that’s involved around me, everybody that's around me, whether it's my agent, manager, caddie, you name it, everyone has had a big impact in my life."
