Bryson DeChambeau perplexes golf fans with 'ridiculous' decision at The Showdown
Golf Twitter wasn't sure why Bryson DeChambeau needed to wear a huge jacket during his exhibition match with Brooks Koepka against Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy.
There was quite a lot to take in during the opening stages of Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka's exhibition match against Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler.
First, we saw McIlroy testing out the new TaylorMade driver as he warmed up for the Crypto dot com Showdown on the range at Shadow Creek Golf Club in Las Vegas.
Then we saw Scheffler, the runaway World No.1 and PGA Tour player of the year, shake hands with LIV Golf's outgoing commissioner Greg Norman.
Who would have thought that would have been possible at the height of the golf wars in 2022?
DeChambeau was the last to arrive on the range and, when the match got underway he opted to wear a Reebok jacket.
Reebok have decided to reenter the golf space and recently tied up the big American and his LIV Golf team, the Crushers, to a multi-year agreement.
Still, golf fans on X thought the attire was completely unnecessary considering it wasn't that cold in Nevada.
Here's a clip from Golf Digest's Christopher Powers:
