Linn Grant with all-time response after Soderberg implosion
Swedish golfer Linn Grant was praised for her classy interview after Sebastian Soderberg blew an eight-shot lead at the Scandinavian Mixed.
Linn Grant was praised by golf fans for her classy winner's interview after she watched Sebastian Soderberg squander an eight-shot lead in the final round of the Scandinavian Mixed.
Soderberg likely had the champagne on ice ready to celebrate his second DP World Tour win.
But the 33-year-old endured a brutal final 18 holes at Vasatorps Golfklubb in Helsingborg.
Soderberg - chasing his first title since 2019 - found the sand with his approach into the final hole and then three-putted from 25 feet.
He missed a par putt for victory and then lipped out from inside two feet for a bogey that would've seen him head for a playoff with Grant who had posted 17-under.
Instead, she was gifted a remarkable victory.
And what she said in the immediate aftermath drew praise.
"I feel, honestly, terrible for Sebastian at the moment," she said.
"I don't even have words for it, I can't imagine how he feels.
"At the same time, I'm just surprised, so surprised, standing here as a winner again, in my home town - amazing."
This was the second time Grant won this event.
She won here in 2022 and is now the first woman to win two DP World Tour titles.
