Rory McIlroy daggers LIV Golf with response ahead of Ryder Cup picks
Rory McIlroy buries LIV Golf when asked if he has a problem with the US Ryder Cup team being able to pick their players?
Rory McIlroy fired a dagger at the LIV Golf League when pressed on whether he had any issues with the US Ryder Cup team being able to select players from the Saudi-bankrolled circuit such as Brooks Koepka.
McIlroy, speaking ahead of this week's Tour Championship where he goes in search of a fourth FedEx Cup title, admitted he is not bothered in the slightest that Zach Johnson is able to pick LIV Golf players in the United States Ryder Cup team should he wish.

Johnson's automatic six players are now set in the US Ryder Cup team and he will then reveal his six captain's picks to join the side on August 29, a full month before the Ryder Cup gets underway at Marco Simone Golf Club in Rome, Italy.

While Team Europe captain Luke Donald cannot select any LIV Golf players next month, the story is very different for Johnson who can pick the likes of Koepka, Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau.
Although the option is there for Johnson, the two-time major champion revealed last week that he will "probably pick six PGA Tour players, but necessarily".
DeChambeau also confirmed a shocking update about Johnson's leadership on the eve of the biennial content where Team USA will bid to end a 30-year winless streak away from home in the Ryder Cup.
McIlroy, who has already qualified for his seventh straight Team Europe side, isn't worried in the slightest about any LIV Golf involvement.
Even if his good friend Koepka does link up with a fourth straight US Ryder Cup team.
Here's a look at how McIlroy's interaction went with a reporter when quizzed on any LIV Golf involvement in the US Ryder Cup team.
It is widely considered Koepka will be the only LIV Golf player making up the US Ryder Cup team.
Paige Spiranac believes two LIV players deserve a pick.
She would not take Justin Thomas though.
But one major champion has urged Johnson to take Thomas to the Ryder Cup.
Donald's European team will be finalised after the Omega European Masters on September 3, and the Englishman will then reveal his six picks soon after.
