WATCH: Tour pro goes BERSERK after hole-in-one on 17 at TPC Sawgrass!
PGA Tour pro Hayden Buckley recorded a hole-in-one at the iconic 17th at TPC Sawgrass during the opening round of the 2023 Players Championship.
If you're going to make a hole-in-one on the PGA Tour, then there can be no better place to do so than at the iconic 17th at TPC Sawgrass.
Take a bow, Hayden Buckley. The 27-year-old drained one at the celebrated island green during the opening round of the 2023 Players Championship.
The hole-in-one came from 125 yards. The tour pro sent a towering iron shot right over the pin. He thought he had overcooked it.
Buckley could be heard telling his golf ball multiple times to sit down. Reader, his golf ball listened.
Once it landed on the slope, it slowly made its way into the centre of the cup.
Cue absolute scenes!
Buckley went absolutely berserk. I mean, why wouldn't you?

This was the 11th hole-in-one in history at the most recognisable par-3 in golf.

Speaking before the 2023 Players, Lowry reflected on one of the highlights of his career when he too made a hole-in-one during the 2022 Players.
Lowry went absolutely ballistic when he recorded one during the third round.
