Video emerges of wicked bruise Rory McIlroy's errant drive left on fan's arm
Rory McIlroy's errant drive hit a fan in the arm during the PGA Tour's season finale at East Lake. Take a look at the wicked bruise it left.
It's fair to say Rory McIlroy had an interesting few minutes during the season-ending Tour Championship.
On one hole at East Lake he made this fan's day simply by giving a her a gentle high-five during the final round.
At the very next hole McIlroy sprayed a drive wildly right and it smashed a gentleman on the forearm.
Footage has now emerged of the moment and you can see clearly the nasty bruise McIlroy's TP5x left.
McIlroy apologised and gave the spectator a signed glove before he went on to birdie the hole.
The Northern Irishman finished the PGA Tour finale in solo fourth on 14-under behind U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark, Xander Schauffele and Viktor Hovland.
McIlroy earned $4,000,000 for his finish.

McIlroy has two more events to play before the Ryder Cup.
He has said he has no intentions of withdrawing from the Irish Open or BMW PGA Championship despite a back injury.
"[I'll just] put the clubs away for a few days," he said after the Tour Championship.
Of course the aforementioned Hovland is the hot topic right now.
Padraig Harrington has revealed before the last Ryder Cup every single member of the European side asked to be paired with Hovland.
