Not everyone loses to Justin Thomas & Jordan Spieth - ask caddie Ian Finnis...
Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth enjoyed more success as a pair last week at The Match, unlike when they faced Tommy Fleetwood and Francesco Molinari at the Ryder Cup...
Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas are in a joyous and flamboyant mood ahead of Christmas after securing a convincing win against Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy in The Match.
Spieth and Thomas made seven birdies in the 12-hole match at Pelican Golf Club to win 3&2. All four players had mics on and used carts for transportation around the course, which was played at night under the lights.
After The Match, the seventh edition of the special fixture which was first played in 2018, the American duo posted a video to Woods and McIlroy, asking how they lost.
"How do you lose to us two?" Spieth asked. "Don't worry, everybody does," Thomas said. And this is true, most of the time...
At the Ryder Cup, Spieth and Thomas have won four points in six matches together. They competed at the 2018 and 2021 Ryder Cups as a team and they also played together in the 2022 Presidents Cup.

They earned all four points available at Quail Hollow. With five major championships and 28 PGA Tour titles between them, it is no wonder that they have formed a formidable partnership when competing for America.
But as pointed out by Ian Finnis, the long-time caddie of Tommy Fleetwood, they aren't perfect. This was proven at the Ryder Cup in France four years ago when the US pair came up against Fleetwood and Francesco Molinari.
'Moliwood' thrashed Spieth and Thomas 5&4 in the Friday foursomes in what was a magical week for the Italian in particular in which he banked five points for Thomas Bjorn's Europe.
His performance in Paris capped off a huge year for Molinari who also won The Open Championship that season. Unfortunately, he has since plummeted to 158th in the world rankings.
Finnis replied to the clip of Spieth and Thomas jabbing Woods and McIlroy, saying "Well not quite everyone in a real match."
Well said, Ian. The only other match that they've lost together was at the hands of Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia at last year's Ryder Cup in the first foursomes match of the tournament.
